The 8.8 rear end is currently not in the car.  Needs new or custom gas tank.  Car was painted, got hit in left quarter, hood & bumpers were never painted.

This car was my only transportation for 3-years.  I drove it unfinished with all the fuel injection 5-speed parts for probably 60,000 miles.  The first time the module in the distributor burned out going down the highway.  The next time, the IAC motor in the throttle body was stuck closed due to build-up of gunk after 3-years of never being cleaned.  It wouldn’t open for start / idle so the car “flooded” itself.  I figured this out after the car sat at my fire station for one 1 day.

When the car had 2.87 gears, it got 26MPG on a 180 mile all-highway cruise.  At about 62MPH (less than 2,000 RPM).  With the 3.27, it will be considerably quicker but I have never tuned / played with the DFI due to laptop / money issues.  I truly believe with tuning, a high 13-second, 25MPG stock driver is here.  Contact Ken Caudle, transamcaudle@gmail.com

Miscellaneous AMC Parts - I've got some really nice '73 Javelin front seats (black with red inserts) for sale, along with a center console, and a shifter, and some nice black rear panels for a '74. I also have some misc interior parts for '71-'74 javelins, including blower motors and ductwork from underneath the dash. I also have a "new" in the box grill for a hornet and I think I have a good used grill as well. I'm trying to clear out some space in my garage.

Oh, I also have a '83 Jeep Cherokee (looks like a Wagoneer, but 2-door) with a 360, 4 wheel drive. It runs but smokes (maybe because of the 2-year old gas in the tank), but would make a good project. It's got A/C, and the compressor works, but it would need freon (?). It would make a great toy or tow vehicle. $850.00 might consider trades (I could use a good complete 401). Feel free to e-mail me or call me if you have any questions. I'd rather see this stuff used than setting in my garage. (469) 222-6199 (cell) or mmm@cpiop.com
